ICU Director - Mater Townsville
The Townsville Mater hospital is working exclusively with SB Health Consulting (Career Medical retained search) in asking for interested parties to lodge expression of interest for the upcoming vacancy of Director of ICU, based out of the Townsville Mater hospital.
The position will be based out of the Mater’s 10 bed ICU dept. The Unit is accredited to level 3, the highest level of intensive care awarded by the CICM, and will look after more than 500 ICU and high-dependency patients annually from all over North Queensland and as far north as Papua New Guinea. The best way to describe the patient case load would be post operative and critical care; usual length of stay is 1 to 3 days. The unit is affiliated with James Cook University and is engaged in post-graduate nursing and medical education. There has previously been partial FTE opportunities in the local base hospital for doctors wanting to keep close to the public system.
The financial offer is compelling; a high retainer to remunerate the VMO position of ICU Director, plus 100% of billings that are generated through the practice, meaning the opportunity to earn extremely well are obviously from the outset. The unit is best staffed by a 1.5 FTE of FCICM doctors, thus there will be an outgoing in the form of a salary to sustain the level of service required, however this role will also be supported by the Mater.
ONLY DOCTORS HOLDING FCICM OR FANZCA NEED APPLY
This position is very competitive and interest is already high. However we urge all interested parties to lodge their interest to: firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP or call Stephen Bott 0415 152 444 for more information and an “in confidence” chat.
